About Blitris
=============
Blitris is a complete version of "Tetris" for AGA Amigas.

Ability to use own OctaMED music in-game
10 High-Score Tables (All Time Top Ten's)
Hard Disk Installation
======================
Run the "HD-Install" program from your Blitris disk and follow the
on-screen instructions.
Note.
"HD-Install" requires that ReqTools.Library be in your Sys:Libs/

Insert this disk and double click on the "Libs-Install" program.
This will also copy PowerPacker.Library if you don't already have it.

Game Play
=========
I'm not going to explain how to play Tetris as I think basically
everyone has played it at some point (hopefully the GameBoy version).
Controls
--------
Player 1 ... Joystick 1
Player 2 ... Joystick 0
KeyBoard (Cursor Keys and Right Shift)
In-Game Keys
------------
[ESC] ... Quit current game
[P] ... Pause game ([P] or ROTATE un-pauses)
> 1 Player Game
-------------
Player 1 ... Yellow.
The aim is simply to achieve the highest score possible.
Every 10 (Ten) lines the games difficulty will increase by 1 (until 9).
With each new increase, the game will become faster.
Displayed on screen :-
Score
Level
Total Lines
High-Score Table Position.
Scoring
-------
The more lines you remove with any one block, the more points you are
awarded. This is then multiplied by the current game level, therefore,
a single line on level 9 is worth 10 times more than that of one
on level 0.
High-Scores are saved to disk once you have entered your name, so even
if you reset or turn off your Amiga, you will not loose your scores.
If your disk is write protected the scores will NOT be saved at all.
Resetting the High-Score Tables
-------------------------------
Simply delete "Blitris.HiScores" from the main directory and Blitris will
default to it's original tables.
> 2 Player Game
-------------
Player 1 ... Red.
Player 2 ... Blue.
The aim is to out-play your opponent by surviving longer.
You will both receive the same series of (random) blocks.
For every Double, Triple or Blitris (4) you achieve, your opponent
will receive lines at the base of their game area.
E.g.
1 Line [ Single ] ... sends ... 0 Lines
2 Lines [ Double ] ... sends ... 1 Line
3 Lines [ Triple ] ... sends ... 2 Lines
4 Lines [ Blitris ] ... sends ... 3 Lines.
The total number of rounds to be played is determined by the settings
in the options page (5, 7 or 9).
The game is over once a player has a trophy in all of the once empty
spaces on the ScoreBoard.
Returning to WorkBench
======================
Simply press [ESC] on the Title page, About page or the High-Scores page.
Using you own OctaMED tune in-game
==================================
Use AMFC Pro 3.1 to convert your music to OctaMED format and save it
as "Blitris.Music".
I had some trouble with the OctaMED format. ie. the music played
SLOW in Blitris. Running it through AMFC Pro and saving it back as
an OctaMED module worked fine though (WIERD!!).

Known Problems/Bugs
-------------------
(1) Both [SPACE] and [P] keys are not being cleared down and are therefore
appearing on the High-Score name entry routine (Blitz 1.90 BUG).
(2) Blitz 2 executable jump to Sys: on execution.
To get around this (until the bug is fixed) I use a simple script and
the IconX command. (This is only a temporary solution.)
(3) The flickery screen fades are down to Blitz 2 also.
